2. What do I do with hazardous waste?

a. Please call for a curbside car oil pickup
b. Take all other hazardous waste to an IWMA collection point or to Cold Canyon Landfill.
c. Most auto parts stores will take old oil or antifreeze.
d. Most paint shops will take old paint and solvents.

3. How do I get oil picked up?

4. What is acceptable in the green waste bin?

a. Clean, unpainted, unstained, untreated wood
b. Any leaves, cut grass, shrubs
c. Food Waste Scraps

5. What is unacceptable in the green waste bin?

a. Dirt and rocks
b. Concrete
c. Painted, Stained, Pressure Treated wood.
d. Sod, Yucca, Palm Fronds
e. Compostable Bags

6. What is acceptable in the recycle bin?

a. Anything that has a recycle code on it
b. Aluminum and steel Cans, Bottles, plastics, cardboard.
c. Aluminum foil.

7. What is unacceptable in the recycle bin?

a. Styrofoam
b. Metal other than aluminum cans and foil
c. Hard molded plastics
d. Plastic bags

8. Is Styrofoam recyclable?

a. No

9. What are extras?

a. Extras are anything that you do not pay for in your monthly garbage bill.
b. Extras are charged anytime your trash, recycle, green waste bin cannot close.
c. Extras are charged anytime trash, recyclables, or green waste is placed on the side of the garbage bin.

10. What is cleanup week?

a. Cleanup week is a week that every resident is allowed to dump up to 12 bags of trash for free on top of their trash bins.
b. It is also when you can place bulky items on the street for us to pickup at an additional charge.

11. When is cleanup week?

12. How can I get rid of extra trash?

13. If I call for an extra dump on my can, will it be done that day?

a. We only pickup extra dumps on regularly scheduled pickup days.
b. We can make allowances for emergencies.

14. I got a tag that says my bins need to be 3 feet apart..why?

a. Having proper spacing on collection bins allows our drivers to safely and efficiently pickup the cans.

15. How should I place bins on the street?

a. The bins should be placed 3 feet apart.
b. The bins should be away from cars and other property that can be damaged.

16. When should I place bins on the street?

a. Please place the bins out before 6am on your scheduled pickup day.

17. Do you work holidays?

a. We work all holidays but Christmas
b. Our Customer Service center is closed all major holidays.
      i. NEW YEARS DAY, PRESIDENTS DAY, MEMORIAL DAY, INDEPENDENCE DAY, LABOR DAY, THANKSGIVING, AND CHRISTMAS.

18. What are your office hours?

a. Our office hours are from 8a.m to 5p.m Monday through Friday.

19. Your trucks are too noisy..can you start later?

a. We try to start as early as possible to avoid heavy traffic.
b. We also start early so we can be away from schools due to the heavy amount of foot traffic.

20. How do I dispose of construction material?
